Matchbox - Arlington

Service was super slow for not being very busy, 2 or the 3 orders were wrong, and (hot) coffee was cold. Nothing was done about the long wait or incorrect orders, sever couldn't care less.

We tried to order and make your own pizza with ham and pineapple to be informed that they had no ham and no pineapple. They have a specific specialty pizza which is pineapple and ham so we asked how can you have something on the menu but not have any of the products. Then, we had to ask for more drinks. For dessert we wanted to get the brownie sundae but they didn't have any ice cream, so isn't that just a brownie if there's no sundae. We ended up getting donuts and they were partially raw. It was a disappointing meal.

Food was very good and flavorful. It was fairly busy but still able to get a table. Service wasn't rushed but not necessarily the most observant. The donuts are heavenly!

My companion and I enjoyed Sunday brunch here the eggs Benedict on cornbread was very good! before flying out of Reagan. The service, while friendly and courteous, was not as fast as we would have liked.

We were visiting from out of town and decided to visit Matchbox Pentagon City based upon the reviews on here. What an absolute disappointment. We had horrendous service from our server. We were ONE OF TWO tables upstairs being used. Our server did not offer to refill any of our drinks or to check on the quality of our food once it was delivered. Instead, he engrossed himself in a private conversation with the neighboring table (which had already cashed out) for 20 MINUTES! I had to get up from my table and flag him down to get service. The food was mediocre at best (Chile's would've been a better option). We ordered the ribs and pizza (stay away from both). Ribs were dry and pizza was limper than spaghetti noodles. We also ordered a side Cesar Salad (lettuce was discolored). We would never recommend this establishment to anyone. Plenty of better options in the area.
