Philz Coffee - Arlington

Yelp certainly knows how to strike a chord! We absolutely love Philz Coffee, but sadly, the Ballston location has shut its doors.

The menu was somewhat confusing, and the customer service was insufficient. The coffee was only mediocre. As first-time visitors, we didn't receive any assistance with our order despite asking for help.

I ordered the Philtered Soul with oat milk, and it was not only delicious but also served promptly. The staff were very friendly and attentive to my inquiries. It's a fantastic place to relax, get some work done, or catch up with a friend over a great cup of coffee.

I had a great experience at this coffee shop, but I did have to wait a bit. It was my first time there, and while the coffee itself was outstanding, it took about 7 to 10 minutes to be ready. So, if you're in a rush, this might not be the best choice. On the other hand, it’s a lovely place to unwind, get some work done, or catch up with a friend, and the interior decor is quite stylish. They make each cup fresh by grinding the beans to order and likely using a pour-over method, which accounts for the wait time. I ordered a small hot dark roast coffee with oat milk, and I was really impressed with the flavor. It wasn’t sour or bitter; instead, it had a wonderfully rich and nutty taste. If you can spare ten minutes, the delicious coffee definitely makes the wait worthwhile!

I visited this restaurant for the first time and was genuinely impressed! The customer service was excellent. The Mint Mojito coffee was incredible, and the Bacon Maple Sandwich was delicious as well. I will certainly be back!
