The buffet has a decent range of food and is very filling. I enjoy the Kanda bhaji and mini samosa starters. There isa good salad option and a variety of curds, and spicy and sweet chutneys. The dessert is again extremely delectable w/wideoptions such as Gajar ka Halwa (carrot dessert), Kheer (condensed sweet milk rice pudding), and Aamras (Mango pulp). Istrongly recommend this place for its vegetarian buffet on weekends w/ the option of 4 curries paneer, mushroom and peas, biryani rice, and Tandoori flatbread options as standard. I frequent this place and it is quite popular due to its proximity tothe UTA campus.
I worked at Star India in 2010 while attending university and I personally know the family. They are kind, loving and treat everyone respectfully. As for the food, I enjoyed almost all of it along with the Kheer. It's what goes into the food that makesit tasty and in there is a lot of love. I would go back here in a heartbeat
This place has some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had. The owner is so sweet and welcoming. The naan almost melts in your mouth and every dish I’ve tried has been delicious. If you’re looking for authentic Indian food, this is your place. Youwill not leave hungry.
Star India is my favorite place to eat in Arlington. I’ve been coming here for years, my husband introduced me to this restaurant. (He’s Indian) I love the buffet, sucks it’s only weekend now. It has the simplest buffet items but it’s soworth it. My favorite is the palak paneer! I’m so in love with it! I’d rate this place higher if I could.
Great food, Great Price. I just moved back to Arlington and tried Star India again after about 10 years. It was better than I remembered. The cozy atmosphere was nice and the food was delicious! We'll be regulars, that is for sure.
