Toby's Homemade Ice Cream - Arlington

Your Ube ice cream is so delicious! I made myself dessert in Hawaii again!

We needed an ice cream for the kids and that was close. They have a quite wide selection of flavors. I didn't think any of the flavors came out, but they were nice. The store itself is quite small and does not really have space to hang out. It is more of a get your ice cream and go type of space.

Favourite milkshakes around... but the girl in the light blue shirt that my milkshake bare hand wiped her nose, put her mask back (without washing her hands), then went on to make my milkshake.

I hope my experience won't become the norm for the last two times at Toby's, as I had really great interactions before. Last week we visited the new location in Vienna, where they were sold from the Green Tea flavor that has become my absolute favorite. While I can understand this sometimes, I decided to try the Arlington (my typical location) today, hoping to revise my Toby experience. To my pleasure they had Green Tea, but it was very disappointing compared to earlier times. The first was in the fact that I had ordered a regular because I wanted a larger portion than I would normally get since I missed last week. The person behind me had ordered 2 singles. When my ice was placed on the vault, it was the same size as the individual bowls. When I questioned it, I was sure it was actually a more regular, though the person behind me paid for individual pots and I paid for a regular size, but nevertheless they were all the same size? The second disappointment came when the ice had no taste compared to normal and was very icy. Perhaps today's experience was a free day. I am hopeful that my next encounter is much different than I have always begged my friends about how much I love Toby's.

You walk in and the employees are ready to serve you with a great smile. When I was there they were very patient, answered all questions, and gave samples! The ice cream was rich, creamy, fresh, and not too sweet. My favorite flavor was ube, it tasted fresh and it was perfect in sweetness (it tasted similar to a taro milk tea). I will definitely come again especially when the weather is nice enough to walk around the little town.
