Pollo A La Carreta - Armenia

We stopped at the restaurant after visiting the coffee plantation. This is a traditional place with great local cuisine, friendly staff and a nice owner!

This place was a surprise! On the road to the coffee region is the best place to stop and lunch. People are very friendly and the owner is a very nice person. Food was amazing and the chicken is really incredible. Very recommended!

This restaurant is amazing! I love it! Very recommended, the food was delicious, the service is great, and the decorations bring you to another place. I really enjoyed it with my husband in January. Will definitely be next time in Calarca, Colombia.

I’m always craving the carne a la carreta plate! It’s my absolutely favorite dish with a mandarin lemonade. I would go a head and add “una arepa frita” to any plate too. The restaurant is also conveniently located as you travel from city to city. You can tell the staff has been trained to have great costumer service and are always so helpful to not only locals but foreign travel groups! If you need any recommendations for activities ask them! They’ll have great tips! Highly recommend.

No nos podíamos ir del Quindio sin comer Bandeja Paisa y escogimos por lo recomendado ir al Pollo a la Carreta. Y aparte que nos atendieron con una amabilidad muy clásica de la región. Nos mostraron una carta típica en la que resaltaba el pollo a la carreta y lucía muy apetitoso. Sin Embargo insistimos en la Bandeja Paisa mas generosa y apetitosa con todos sus clásicos ingredientes divinamente preparados y mejor presentados. No puedo dejar pasar por alto la Limonada Trifasica. Solo pida una jarra suficiente para dos y gócesela. Pero las buenas sorpresas no paraban ahi; con esa generosidad del paisa nos ofrecieron un café como los hacían los arrieros con panela de cortesía y que sabor mas suave y que aroma. Y para despedirnos después de pagar una muy módica cuenta nos ofrecieron unas panelitas de leche que mas podíamos pedir. Felicitaciones. Y muchas gracias. Este paseo al Quindio será inolvidable y sus restaurantes maravillosos.
