Sunday evening September 1st 2024 my Wife and Son and I attended the Crows Nest for dinner. Been going there for over 20 years. Asked the server what bourbons they had for the old fashioned and she smartly and very standoffish replied “I have over 50 bourbons and I’m not naming them all”. I said ok, Angels Envy which is a $42.00 dollar a bottle range bourbon. (Toured Angel’s Envy in Louisville in February so I’m pretty familiar). It’s not even close to top shelf. The bill came and the drinks were $29.00 each for $58.00 and listed as Angel’s Envy Rye which I didn’t order and it’s not expensive either. I asked the server and she said to talk to the manager and so I spoke to him in person and he said he couldn’t do anything about it and he would have to look into it. He even told me in person that his server asked him about it before she presented the bill. I don’t set the prices he said and he didn’t offer anything and just repeated he would have to look into it and walked away. True story. Here are the picture’s. I paid the ridiculous check and still tipped roughly $35.00. They say if you have to ask you can’t afford it. Well at the Crow’s Nest you better ask because even the Manager can’t even explain it.
The food was great! Our waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly! The music needed to be turned down a lot for business on a Tuesday! We could hardly hear each other talk and it was hard rock to boot.
Food was very good. Service was impeccable. Our server was Stan and when I say he went over above it is an understatement!!! Thank you Stan
The food was fantastic! Best pork shank ever! The wings were excellent. Super ribs and definitely going back for the meatloaf. Our waitress, Tara took great care of us. We sat outside on one of the gliders and got to watch the Browns game. Great food, great service and great atmosphere. It was truly a wonderful experience and can't wait to go back.
