Branding Iron Pub - Armstrong

This is a great little pub that has recently reopened under new management. It definitely shows potential, with very reasonable prices for both drinks and food. The food I've tried has been tasty, though not spectacular, but still worth the price. The atmosphere is pleasant, and it seems they're hosting live bands nearly every week, along with trivia nights. I'm eager to see how things develop; it’s nice to have this pub back in business. I really hope they continue to do well!

I visited on Friday night and it was really bustling with activity. I decided to try the kangaroo burger, but unfortunately, it was too dry for my taste. We also joined in on trivia, but I made the mistake of sitting near the jukebox. The noise was incredibly distracting, with short, loud snippets of songs playing constantly, making it difficult to have any conversation. We didn't even see anyone using the jukebox! It would be great if you could remove that loud nuisance, as it definitely detracted from our experience. The pub is already quite noisy on its own.

I had a reasonably priced lunch, and the food was good, solid pub fare. I tried the kangaroo burger.

Decided after hearing it's re-opened to go give it a try. Unless they change their on tap beers, I wont be back. Never stuck around for the food so cant say how it is. Service was good and it looks like it's been cleaned up a little but not worth the gas for the

After the good hype we had heard, have to say I was disappointed by our visit. Didn't have beer on tap and not light beer for my wife. Waitress very friendly and nice but also told me they were out of what I wanted for my meal. Had a burger instead and it wasn't great, taste and consistency were that of frozen pre-made patties. Wife said her Reuben was the best she'd had so one positive. Not busy, service slow.and they even screwed up my order for a burger fries and a side of onion rings.I'll phone.first before returning to see.if they have what I.want. hopefully for them it's only.growing.pains. :
