Chicken dish over cooked to a tough crisp, as well as the fish, which was inedible. Unremarkable salad and over cooked onion rings. Do yourself a favor and eat at the hot dog stand down the street. Not worth the expense
The view is the best! Our food was good! Service was slow but we weren't in any hurry. We enjoyed our wine the view while we waited.
My husband and I decided to dine at High Point on July 5th with our friends. We have been coming to this area for many years and are familiar with most of the restaurants. I have a severe food allergy to fish. When I placed my order, I informed the waitress of my allergy. She said she couldn’t guarantee my chicken would be safe for me to eat, however she would check with the chef. When she returned to the table, she confirmed nothing I could order would be safe, not even a side salad. Our group finished our beverages and left. We all decided, we would not return. I have had this allergy my entire life and have never been told that I couldn’t dine in an establishment due to my allergy. I was effectively refused service because I am allergic to fish. The lack of accommodation and effort to meet customers’ needs is appalling.
We stopped by the Hi-Point one night with a group of friends. We all had a drink and then got the sample desert plate. It was good but nothing crazy special. The staff was nice and the view was pretty.
We restaurant hop on date night. Appetizers at one, main at one, dessert at a third. This was our appetizer stop. We chose the brussel sprouts and shrimp. It comes with sprouts sauteed with bacon, topped with shrimp. There is cranberry relish on the side. It was excellent. We also had a drink. Service was excellent. Great location, great view of the lake.
