Riverside Grill And - Arnprior

I wish I could give this restaurant a star. We dined here over the weekend for lunch, making a reservation for our group of 16. Unfortunately, only 13 of us ended up eating as some family members had to leave when it became clear that our food was taking too long to arrive. Three people were served in a timely manner, while the last three had to wait over 2 and a half hours after our arrival. The server seemed overwhelmed and told us she would only serve half of the table. We noticed that the same incorrect orders were brought out three times, each time under a different name, as if to see if anyone would claim it. When it came time to pay, the server asked if we had requested our meal to be free from a second server. We declined, but she offered a 10% discount instead. Despite this discount, we still ended up paying $58.00 for two salads, a pasta dish (supposed to come with a salad that was never served), and a disappointing soup and sandwich. What a disappointment.

I cannot emphasize enough, do not eat here. My family was excited to finally dine together after Covid, so we chose to go on Mother's Day. The food took over 2 hours to arrive and all dishes were inedible. Soup and sandwiches took nearly 3 hours. Some of our group had to take their restless children for a car ride because they could not wait any longer. I could detail everything that went wrong, but we even had to return a glass of water as it smelled like a moldy cloth. We left about 3/4 of the food we ordered and wasted a nice day on waiting for our meals and then dealing with the bill. We were the only customers when we arrived. Do not waste your time or money at this establishment.

The service was excellent, as we were the only table dining there. The food was exceptional from start to finish. The classic spinach dip may be a dying art, but they have kept it alive and it was delicious.

Food was great. Cook accommodated my carnivore diet and was delicious. Great company.

When patio is open nice place to sit and look at the scenery. Menu selection is limited and hasn't changed in 2 years.
