Wes' Chips - Arnprior

Hands down the best french fries in eastern Ontario. These guys stick to what they do best don't bother asking for any Poutin.

Generally the grease at French fry stands plays havoc with me so I stay away. However, the fries at Wes' are pretty good! I don't feel "punished" after eating. Perhaps they change the cooking oil more frequently than other chip stands? Fairly fast service. Top marks for a chip stand...it is what it is.

Wes's is well known and popular with visitors to town. Personally, I'm not a fan. They only have fries on their menu, no other food and no gravy. Fries are more soggy then crispy and leave a greasy film in your mouth. They have a sweet flavour, I've heard from them keeping the fries in sugar water before cooking. I've tried a few times and just not a fan. There are better places to get fries and other food in the area.

Best fries in the Ottawa Valley? Yes and perhaps in all of Canada!if they are not then they are in the top ten!You know a place a is good at what they do and know it when the menu is essentially fries and nothing else but soft drinks and water for sale. Concentrate on what you do best and provide it. And they do! My friends who love fries more than me.... well this is their spot and will go out of their way to go grab some fries there.Worth a trip to try them out- you won't regret it. License to print money as the people pulling up for fries there at all hours of the day speaks for itself

Wes has really good chips & only chips. Halfway means they'll fill your container halfway fo you can add salt & vinegar (ketchup if you must), then they fill it the rest of the way. You can also order them well done that are a little extra crispy. Mmmmm
