Viento Sur - Arona

We arrived at this restaurant at lunchtime, we were asked if we were drinking or eating, we replied that we just wanted a drink at first to be told that they had reservations and we could only stay if we were eating. We left and went to the coral bar next door where we were made extremely welcome. We were really pleased to see that at no point in the 3 hours where we drank, ate and spent a decent amount of money that this bar was full.

What a disappointing experience I had when I went to this restaurant. I sat down, was asked to move to another table, after 10 mins I was asked if I wanted a drink, got a beer then 15 mins later was asked what I wanted when I explained I hadnt seen a menu was told abruptly that the menu was on the board and was never asked again. The people serving do not speak any english. So I paid for my beer and left. If you do not speak french DO NOT GO to this restaurant.

Eventually we were served, told menu in french) was on board and they spoke no English. No wine list white, Rosa or red. Coq au vin was 2 pieces of chicken on more bone than chicken with rich sauce and a bowl of below average cooked chips so my meal was sauce with chips. No background music, plastic table cloths, no attempt by staff to interact with us except to say goodbye. Compared to any french restaurant this is a zero. Definitely not going back too many nice restaurants in silencio to choose from. True ly amazed to read good reviews, Botijo’s gorgeous as is Lebanese further up don’t waste even a small amount of money here

Ordered two dishes of croquettes of two different flavors €10 per dish) and we are served two croquettes per dish FROZEN, VERY SMALL AND TASTELESS CROQUETTES), on a bed of salad that has been open for at least two days. €20 for two dishes like this €2.50 for half a liter of water. Really disgusting, the FROZEN croquettes from the supermarket next door heated and sold for 2 to 10€.
