Gombo Wang Korean - Artesia

Absolutely delicious! The hot khar bi soup is fantastic, and there are so many different options to choose from. I highly recommend this place! It really feels and tastes like home-cooked meals from Korea!

I came here after being told the nengmyun is amazing. I consider myself a nengmyun snob so I couldn't wait to try it out. Went with my husband and was so unimpressed it hurt. We ordered nengmyun and galbi. For being so expensive they gave you a tiny bit of galbi and the nengmyun bowl was so big, but they gave such a small portion of noodles. The taste of the noodles was very beef brothy but didn't have the sweetness or tang like regular nengmyun. The hot mustard and vinegar did help though. The galbi was so burnt even the onions under it were burnt to a crisp. Definitely would not recommend. I did give 3 stars cause this is one of the few nengmyun spots that still serve hot broth (yooksoo) and I love that. Very nostalgic.

Well Never mind Covid. These people are cheap. The portions were so small my dog would still be hungry. Wait a minute! My dog wouldn't eat the meat ..well unless he ran out of bones to chew! I ordered cold noodle beef combo for $37 with only 2 tiny tiny thumb size dishes. Korean restaurants usually provide many side dishes. Great presentation however because they cut the meat so it spreads out across the plate to make it go further. My Korean friend eats at many Korean places. This is The worst place he has ever been to! Did Kim Jong Un teach them how to overcharge people? I had to go out to eat again at another place just to have dinner. Total tab $50 at Gombo wang. Another $20 for an additional restaurant. Total tab for dinner $70. Got a lot of cash to burn and not hungry? Go here and take the food home to your dog! Yeh! I am pretty pissed!

I came here with my cousins over the weekend because It was hot and I was craving cold noodles. Parking here isn't an issue, and the place is pretty small. I got the mul-naengmyeon and small bossam plate. Food here is a little less saltier than other places, which I like! The waiter is also a pretty funny guy lol. Overall no complaints, would come back again.
