I wanted to add another experience i had here previously. my parents and i came and received terrible service and we decided not to tip, as we walked out the bald server immediately went to pick up the check and laughed out loud calling and showing the other workers the check of $0 tip. it is just absurd how these workers are not professional and it's disappointing to see them think they delivered bare minimum service expecting a grand tip. BOTTOM LINE: DO NOT COME HERE THIS PLACE NEEDS TO SHUT DOWN.
My family's go-to spot for dim sum for the past 15+ years! They still have the traditional carts being pushed around and older Asian ladies rushing to you to get your orders even before you sit. I rarely see this place filled anymore (probably due to the effects of COVID and other new dim-sum spots opening . It used to be packed, and the lines were long on Sundays. I think the pandemic has caused them to decrease in quality. You are given water bottles when asking for water and a lot of items seemed to have disappeared from their selection (where are you fried taro ball!!! . A lot of the items seem to be sitting there for a while and items from the non-heated carts are usually room temperature. I am sad to see the quality decline, but it usually does the spot for my family. No frills, you pay for what you see/get!
Never again. Very disrepectful, the boss gave us an attitude after we respectfully declined the food we did not ask for.
Dim sum noon time on a Wednesday. We got there around 1pm. I called the restaurant prior to going to the restaurant. The person I spoke with said dim sum ends at 3pm everyday. The last time I went there to ask for pricing, they said they do get a very large crowd on weekends. We went on a midweek and there were about 5 table when got there and few more tables after we got seated. Service was great. They do wheel carts for dim sum but one weird thing is that they will reheat the dim sum for you. The only thing I enjoy is the fried fish. The rest was mediocre. Shui Mai isn't chef made, it frozen bought from Chinese markets. You don't get to pick your flavor of tea. They just give whatever on the house. Charge $1 tea/person. $5-6 for basic dim sum and $7-10 for premium dim sum. It's not your typical dim sum like in the 626. But if you want your dim sum craving fix, come here.
Been coming here for decades. Although it 's been a while since we 've been here. Quality and service is still very good, but we did experince some sticker shock at the end. It 's not the cheap and cheerful time it used to be. But what is today? Regardless, we can not be doing the every Sunday after church ritual it was before the pandemic. Actually, I was wondering why it was so sparsely attended when we got there. Usually at that time there ws
