Da Franco - ASCEA

We stayed in a hotel close to this place. It was open and serving food and wine. That was the only reason why we chose to eat there. We like this small town but they really need to work on providing a few more restaurants. Loads of fast food places. The other place called The Rose and Crown was closed. End of season I guess. The service at Da Franco was friendly enough with one lady running the establishment. She was very attentive. The quality of the food in my opinion was not good. Last night my “fried fish” was awful and it seemed as if it was cheap frozen mixed sea food tipped in to a frying pan from the freezer and fried, then dumped on a plate. After three nights we can’t stand it for a further night and will opt for a bottle of wine and a take away pizza on our balcony. What a contrast from our lunch at the The La Scogliera beach restaurant which I will review later.

Food is cooked love, always fresh products, big choice of dishes for any taste. Very friendly and caring staff.

Good restaurant with contained cost on the menu. A place where you can enjoy an exquisite cuisine and an excellent service. Fresh fish is every day delivered. Unfortunately I discovered on my last day of holiday. Highly recommend

Lovely ristorante, We had a very enjoyable meal here, very nice staff and owner. Food excellent and tasty. We hope to return.

It is a really family environment, you eat very well and you are in good companionship. The owner is very present and affable, feel right at home.
