Ashburn Village Inn

Have been coming here since they opened. The food is always fantastic. Today was no exception. I have watched the prices climb steadily. Today's bacon cheeseburger, while very good, was $15.49. I asked for a side of mayo, and was charged an additional 50 cents! That is tacky. As if the $15.49 wasn't already enough.

FOOD/DRINK: 4/5SERVICE: 4/5AMBIANCE: 3/5This place has a seat yourself policy, but it doesn 't quite work. We sat for a good 10 minutes before someone noticed us and gave us menus. If these are the seating arrangements, then maybe it would be a good idea to have a QR code or menus at the tables to browse while we wait. We ordered our drinks and when I got my water, it was extremely tappy tasting, which I don 't really expect from a place that has a bar. I ordered a sweet tea instead, which was perfect (not too sweet . We looked over the menu for a while and I decided on the golden barbeque chicken, while hubby got the chicken and waffles. Food took a really long time to come out (no fault of our waiter, he kept checking with the kitchen . We were here longer than an hour and it wasn 't *too* busy.FOOD: Golden Barbeque Chicken half chicken with a dry rub and then bbq sauce and comes with corn on the cob and fries. This was really, really good. It was just what I wanted and I couldn 't even finish it! The fries were crisp. The chicken had just enough sauce and was juicy, but the breast was a tad dry...but even the corn on the cob had seasoning! Yum. Chicken Waffles I only tried a bite of the waffle, which was soft crisp at the same time. A perfect waffle. Hubby ate it all! Haven 't tried dessert but they all sounded yummy. Maybe next time!Prices were really fair and cheap (not in a bad way, but lots of restaurants have raised their prices a lot and this one hasn 't . Ambiance lacked since the lights were basically turned off and the paint was worn away where the chairs scraped it. When we were leaving, we noticed our waiter was the ONLY waiter AND he was managing the bar. I think the wait had to do with staff shortage and I felt bad for him. Note: We have been here once before a year ago (when there were Covid restrictions where I had chicken tenders (I think and hubby had the cheesesteak. Both were really good.A good local place to visit (and they 're open late!! . We will definitely be back.

AVI has quickly become a favorite! Great menu and drink selection, and everything we have tried on the menu is delicious: from the burgers and club sandwiches to the shrimp and grits and chicken creole pasta. I also highly recommend the Cheese Fries and Nachos! My only criticism is that the service can be slow at times, as they are seemingly understaffed. Overall, it's a great place to relax, eat good food, and watch sports!

This was probably the WORST experience I've had at any restaurant. I got to the restaurant about 25mins before happy hour ended, hoping I was able to get a beer before then. I patiently waited to see a server of any kind. The server got to our table 5mins after happy hour ended. I asked her if I could order from the happy hour menu and she told me it just ended.She took our drink order and returned 15mins later with our sodas. Then took our order. It took 25 mins just to get our food!! She also forgot to put in our appetizer, didn't try and write anything down because I have an allergy.From the looks of the previous reviews, it doesn't look like the owners or managers seem to care about how their customers are being treated. Typically guests should be in and our with in an hour to 1.5 hrs. This took way longer and the server should get retrained on timing.Food was satisfactory. Service not so much!

Very cool casual sports bar with lots of TV’s. We went early on a Saturday evening and had good service. The burger and kids hot dog was good but the fries may be their specialty. Beer selection was decent, would definitely go back.
