Mayflower - Asheboro

This has been my favorite fish restaurant for many years.

Fair, but maybe a bit too greasy, even for a fried food. Their baked potatoes are usually lacking in heat, freshness and size.

So, my wife and I just moved to NC, from CA and in California there's plenty of seafood restaurants anywhere from phenomenal to mediocre at best! My wife

Average. Popcorn shrimp was good, but everything else was tasteless and not crispy for fried seafood. Even the potato wedges were garbage, half burned on the floors and hard as a result. Shameless. I was in other Mayflower restaurants and that was a bad example of one.

I have heard so much of the burgers (yes, I know you don't get burgers from a seafood place) well let me just say...go get a burger at Mayflower! It was great!!! Also sweet potato fries were perfectly cooked. My husband has the Captain's board. He enjoyed it.
