Bistro - Asheville

My dining experience was just what I had hoped for. The menu featured a variety of delicious choices. Our food was well-prepared and served quickly. We appreciated our server, who provided exceptional service. It was a bit on the expensive side, but I’m glad we decided to go.

The food was amazing! The soup of the day was a creamy root vegetable soup that paired perfectly with the artisan bread appetizer. The pork tenderloin dish was incredibly flavorful and tender, and the beef bourguignon was also excellent.

The service was outstanding, and the food and wine were perfect. It was a bit pricey, but we were aware of that beforehand. My only real concern is that you can't make online reservations for more than four people. I called the restaurant a couple of times but couldn't reach anyone, so I left a message. We ended up making two reservations—one for four people and one for two. The staff was very accommodating and moved us into a booth so we could sit together. It was a bit crowded, but we were comfortable, and our server was absolutely fantastic! We will definitely return.

We had a wonderful New Year's Eve family dinner at the Bistro. Needed to add one guest at the last minute and that turned out to be no problem. We were offered a booth, which turned out to be the best choice for us, as it was very comfortable, provided privacy and allowed us to converse easily amongst ourselves. The food was top notch, we loved our waiter and the ambience upscale without being stuffy. A go-to for the future.

The night was just a bit off. Usually this is fantastic and I love eating at the Bistro. This is the second time (as a party for 2) that my table has faced directly into the family room bathroom. If that's not an ambiance killer, I'm not sure what is. Turn that table around to face the dining room! The food was just so so, but again that isn't the norm. We were here on NYE, and I think we'll stick to off holiday visits. Blake, our server, was outstanding.
