Melting Pot Social - Asheville

We had a reservation, but they seemed to have no intention of honoring it and ended up seating other guests instead. The burger was quite underwhelming; it reminded me of the cafeteria burgers from school. However, the Monterey cheese was fantastic, and the tomato bisque soup was satisfactory. I enjoyed the Golden Ticket chocolate fondue, but I was disappointed to receive Fruity Pebble Rice Krispies instead of regular ones. My friends thought the mac and cheese was decent and enjoyed the turkey club. The fries were okay, but I found the roasted potatoes to be better. The girl at the door was rude, but the rest of the staff was friendly and helpful. They offer BBQ, but it's Korean-style on the ribs, which isn't my favorite.

We ordered three separate courses: fondue, salad, and a main course. After about 15 minutes, our main courses arrived, but shortly after that, the server brought out our fondue. Then, 15 minutes later, she finally served the salad. It was very disappointing all around—not what anyone wants when dining out. The fondue was bland, the potatoes were lukewarm, the broccoli was rubbery, and there were only about six tortilla chips. The flatbread was tasty, and the hamburger was better than average, but the salad was missing altogether. Overall, we were unimpressed, and there are much better dining options in Asheville.

This restaurant is a fantastic alternative to traditional fondue places where diners sit in a circle and share a communal pot. They offer a variety of great options and delicious dishes. While the portion sizes, especially for meat selections, could be larger—since a small skewer often isn't enough—it’s still a solid choice overall. I will definitely be returning!

This is a pleasant surprise to enjoy in asheville. eating is pretty good and cheap. a great place to enjoy fondue in a decent portion size.
