Incredible customer service and even better food all around. This is by far one of my favorite Japanese restaurants in Asheville! The owners are always super friendly and the prices here are unmatched. Thank you, Mr. Sushi!
My last experience with Mr Sushi South was just so bad I don't think so? ll je back! I ordered the departure at 6:30 and didn't get my food until 8:30. You told me 30 minutes, but I'm waiting for almost two hours. Extremely long wait for a hungry person. There were several other people waiting for a long time, and they seemed much more angry at waiting. There was a poor old Asian woman who did all the work with a white teenager who did not help wonder that the sushi didn't taste well and this extremely annoying white (not sure if he was the hostess or owner) who spoke nothing but excessively to families who just tried to eat. not sure why I thought that sushi would taste good after this experience. First, the sushi rice tasted terrible. It didn't taste like sushi rice I had in other restaurants. It tasted almost like brown rice because the texture was straight out! I paid $80 tip and honestly, it was a waste of money. I wish I could go back in time and not interfere with Mr. Sushi. I'm really sad bc my first experience here was great, and it's so close to my house. Really, although I wish I could have my money and time back from this experience because it just sucked!
We were completely dissatisfied with our takeover order. They packaged our salads in a tri-commentary container (dink-tv tablet) with our HOT meals that they hot and super soggy. They were rough. We couldn't eat them. Not to mention tiny salads. If we were washed in, they would have served us more salad. The quality of the service should be the same for everyone on the board, and they should be in their own separate container. Our dinners came with little rice (about as much as salad), and were seasoned with pepper. We like spicy food, but that was not normal, that was not a complementary spice (it's hibachi chicken). I think they spilled pepper on our meals. Everything was covered with black pepper. My mom couldn't eat her. That was an unpleasant dinner. It was a birthday dinner. We are very dissatisfied, especially for the cost of meals. We would have gone to Tokyo Express or Ichiban (for no more), but we wanted to give you a try. Maybe an indoor experience would be better? Maybe it's a curse and that's an isolated incident? I don't know. I'm not one that usually leave reviews, but that was really an unpleasant dinner experience (and expensive).
Went to Mr. SUSHI on friday with my dad. We got there a bit before 11 and ended up waiting until about 10 after 11am before they opened the doors. We took a seat and the waitress promptly came over and took our drink order. We ordered the fried pork dumplings to share. I ordered the 6 piece shrimp nigiri and the texas crunch roll. My dad got the kung pao steak. The food was delicious. The Wasabi seemed to be extra hot because my nose hairs were burning. The dumplings were delicious and so was the nigiri but the Texas crunch roll was amazing! Even my dad loved it however the service was not there. Once the food was dropped off she never came back to check on us. 2 people came in to place to go orders and if she wasnt in the back she was sitting down at a booth. My drink was never refilled. They weren't busy at all and we were the only table eating. I'll be back but hopefully the service is better the next time around.
