I could taste that eating was fresh and handmade, even the quality of organic/home production can taste. would recommend everyone to try this place if through the city.
The plant has been on my radar for several years. we finally made it to asheville and have to go there. it was a little disappointing. that was just okay. Maybe we ordered the wrong things, but there really wasn't much wow factor with something except the ravioli. the ravioli was incredible. I'd just go back for ravioli. the cheese plate was okay. the maul was blah. the crème brûlée was not good and had a really strange texture. updated by previous review on 2022-09-21
If you’re in Asheville and have some expendable income for a fine dining experience, Plant is a must try. I don’t visit often but the last time I went with a large group we sampled most of the menu and enjoyed everything—the ravioli was a favorite.
My god. This is one of the absolute pinnacles of vegan food. I went here in October 2021 and everything was amazing. I got bar seating, which I highly recommend because you can watch your food get made right in front of you. The ravioli is literally one of the tastiest things I've ever eaten in my life. I think about it weekly, no joke. I also got the ramen bowl (which was great, but not in another league like the ravioli) and the crème brûlée. If you are passing anywhere through the area, this is worth taking at least a 2-hour detour for.
Wow! I just had one of the most incredible culinary experiences in a long time! I love this place. It is one of the best fine dining vegan restaurants I have ever been to. The owner I believe used to work at Candle 79. And I love this place. But Plant in Asheville is in a league of its own. I had a scrumptious tahini cauliflower roasted dish, amazing fresh salad with toasted pistachios and the most delicious creamy mushroom ravioli. And to top it all off, I had an amazing blueberry cheesecake with homemade white chocolate and topped with blueberries and a rosemary infused pear sauce over it. Simply outstanding! The ambience is beautiful. You can actually see them cooking in the kitchen while you eat. And they play beautiful soothing music. And the service is outstanding! Come eat dinner here you’ll love it!
