I'm vegan, and even I had to eat. there are some vegetarian elements on the menu that can be made with minimal changes in vegan. we loved every dish and enjoyed every bite. there were some objects that were outdated, like the beech mushrooms in my court, which were charming and so tasteful. there was even a little dirt in one of my bites, which showed that there were wild mushrooms. love this place!
I was in many upscale restaurants and this is the best so far. the server was very friendly and friendly eating were great. I love the atmosphere and the view of the blue mountain. I am a very hard critic of the service and good. I have nothing negative to say here. it deserves five stars.
We celebrated the birthday of my wife in the vue 1913 and enjoyed an amazing meal. the sous chef peter was in the night on the grill and we had a mouth water filet. all our escapes were delicious. our server sandy was excellent and made our special evening simply charming.
Absolutely the best restaurant we've ever been. everything until the broth varieties at the beginning of the meal was impeccable. my man got the filet mignon and lobster, he insisted that I try, although I hate steak because of the texture. that is the first steak I have ever said was good! it was juicy and tender. I honestly cannot understand why someone had left a negative assessment. the atmosphere is peaceful and romantic! a great way to celebrate his birthday. they brought him to our evening with this enchantingly decorated chocolate dessert.
We were visiting Asheville, staying at a different hotel but decided to try Vue 1913 at the Omni Grove Park Inn for a fine dining experience after taking in the gingerbread house competition displays. Sadly our reservations were after sunset so we didn’t have much of a ‘vue’, but we did watch a beautiful sunset sitting in the bar/lounge area just around the corner while we waited for our reservation time. We started our dining with the potato leek soup. Not something I would normally order, but this was exceptional. The bread and cracker plate was a great complement. We also had to try the deviled eggs. The caviar sent them way over the top. My wife ordered the Chilean sea bass special and was overwhelmed by how incredibly delicious it was. I ordered the lobster and grits. It was without a doubt the most deliciously tender succulent lobster I’ve ever eaten, including lobster I’ve speared myself in the Bahamas and eaten less than 40 minutes later. I also had their special old fashioned and again one of the best I’ve had. Not cheap- but well worth it. Service was world class with our server very attentive and she also made excellent wine pairing suggestions. Overall a delightful dining experience and definitely one of the highlights of our trip (sorry Vue 1913, Van Gogh takes first place).
