THAI CHINPALA KITCHEN - Ashgrove

This is THE worst Thai food I have ever had. Being to Thailand multiple times, there is nothing authentic about this food! I ordered a roasted red duck curry and a cashew stir fry. The curry looked light brown and was watery with no flavour. The chicken stir fry was also watery and the meat was rubbery. I don't usually write reviews but when the food was inedible, I feel it necessary to pre warn people. Such a disappointment and a complete waste of money.

I had a delicious lunch here today ... I ordered vegan massaman curry (($15) with rice ($3) ... it's authentic resturant serving authentic food cooked by a Thai chef ... one of the best massaman curries I have tasted outside of Thailand

I have been here several times and tried a few dishes from the menu. The food is outstanding, well prepared, fresh and attractively presented it is worth a trip to Ashgrove for the food aloneMy visits have been on slow nights. The chef is always friendly and I have been here enough for him to know me. He is always friendlyThe interior is a bit worn. In some ways this adds to the charm. But in other ways it detracts from the food. I will continue to return

I've been coming here for years. the owner is super friendly and knows my voice over the phone. food is always tasty and reasonably priced. my favourite is the vegetarian pad see ew noodles.

I have been to this restaurant a number of times no after first overlooking it. The food is pretty authentic Thai, having traveled to Thailand many times. If you ask for Spicy you will get it, the food is delicious. Don't expect to much in the way of fine dining, but if you like authentic Thai food I would recommend you try Chinpala Kitchen
