Big Al's Drive-in - Ashland

Decent little spot. Food is fair and decent priced.

Very good hamburger and onion rings. The vanilla malt was excellent. Upon visiting another time they gave my order to someone else then insisted I accept the food. This behavior during a pandemic is indefensible. Who knows if this has occurred with other patrons, I was just Lucky enough to catch this. Very uncooperative employees, shame on Big Al's.

I cant lie and say I drive all way to Ashland from Roseburg (3 hours RT) just for Big Al's Rueben sandwiches, as I always have medical appointments, but it sure makes the medicine go down! It has lean, beautuful meat and LOADS of it (see photos). it gets a solid 9…the only way to make it better would be spicy mustard and dark rye bread.

Been eating here since I was a boy in the 80's. Always good service and excellent food.

I would recommend dining here the food was delicious.
