This restaurant is quite a unique find! The owner, along with the cooks and waitstaff, brings a delightful and entertaining atmosphere to the place. One standout dish we've had the pleasure of enjoying is the thin crust pizza. We found the cheese to be a fantastic choice—not too heavy and reasonably priced. Our order was taken promptly, the food arrived quicker than we anticipated, and everything was just as we ordered, which really added to the enjoyment of our evening. I highly recommend trying the pork steak or the brisket sandwich, paired with some spicy baked beans and a local brew!

I've been living in Ashland for a couple of years now and have tried all the local restaurants multiple times. I must say, Blue Rooster is by far my favorite. Their brisket sandwich is incredible—generous portions of meat that are juicy and packed with flavor. There’s no need for extra condiments; it's perfect as is. You simply won’t find a better brisket sandwich anywhere around! Their wings are fantastic too. I rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled to give this place a shout-out.

Best barbecue spot Ive found in Missouri. Prices are cheap and food is delicious. Pizza is also good.

I really dislike having to give a small business a negative review, but my experience with the chicken wings was quite disappointing. The wings were charred to a burnt black and had bits of chicken feathers on them. The seasoning was barely noticeable, just a light sprinkle over the burned and unappetizing wings. It might be time to completely rethink your chicken wing preparation. This was not enjoyable at all.
