The restaurant itself is contained and charming, offering indoors as well as outdoors dining. The food is superb, prepared, cooked and served by three super talented and charming ladies.
I had a chance to visit this restaurant 3 times in past year with local friends. The owner is also a chef. In Italy everything is a little different (my experience), if you actually find this restaurant it is in the middle of corn fields do not be fooled by the shabby looks. The food is very traditional with modern twist... and with sense of origin and simplicity brought into by the chef (who I believe is not schooled cook, but simply loves to cook). Although it was never even mediocre, the level is slightly fluctuating. From good to excellent, so you never make a mistake going there. And when it is excellent, you will remember everything you 've eaten, not only because it tastes so good, but also because it is awesome in its simplicity. Usually good wine selection, although limited to close or local. Here I would recommend go for the best, it is worth the money unlike the cheaper ones. Claimed as fish restaurant , you can also taste excellent pasta with snails, or with rabbit liver and so on. So dust off your compass and go.
We were taken by local hosts for a fantastic fish meal...which seemed to be on a road in the middle of nowhere. Excellent crudos, excellent pastas with different fish sauces, and just grilled fish made this restaurant a great find in the middle of Asola..Very cool and different experience.
