La Bella Stazione - ASSISI

I am four days into a six day visit to Assisi, and I keep coming back! I ate here the first night because I arrived on a late train the restaurant is above the station. I was impressed with the food, and they have great wifi, which helped me traveling without a data plan. I can recommend the pizza and the lamb and the sausage and a mushroom ravioli I’ve tried. All were good, flavorful, and what I hoped to eat in Italy! Drew from Denver, Colorado, USA

I ended up in Assisi traveling by train and the restaurant on the top of the train station came as a rather convenient solution for a quick lunch. I didn’t expect much as this was in the train station but what a pleasant surprise it was. The food was amazing with rather reasonable prices. If you end up here and have a pasta “Norcina” in white souse then you are here for a real treat. Norcina is great local sausage that originates from Umbria. The service was great and there is a great view of St. Frances’s basilica from the restaurant terrace.

Very nice restaurant positioned just above the train station, with the most breathtaking view of Assisi and the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli. The owner might be the nicest person we met during our stay, super welcoming and very attentive. They offer a great variety of options, from pizza to classic pasta dishes to local dishes from the region. The “strangozzi al tartufo” is a must-try! If you are ever visiting Assisi, I highly recommend coming to La Bella Stazione! Perfect place to share a meal with family, as a couple or with friends. Another advantage offered is an entire corner dedicated to all the handmade ceramics also produced by the owner. Overall great food, great setting, and great customer service!

Just back from a week near Assisi and despite having eaten in a few great places, ended up dining here twice as it was fantastic. The menu choice, quality of food, pricing and ambiance were second to none and the team are first rate! Highly recommended!

I had the opportunity to visit this amazing restaurant for lunch, and order a typical pasta from the place, it was just perfect. This place is in the top of the train station, easy to access, and with very affordable prices.
