Cafe Triskell - Astoria

This was our family's first experience with Venezuelan cuisine, and we are grateful for the opportunity to savor such delicious dishes that brought back memories of home. We also truly appreciated the friendly service we encountered.

The arepas you serve are large, hearty, and incredibly tasty! My partner and I each enjoyed one, and we shared an order of yucca fries, which turned out to be more than enough food for the both of us.

I'm giving this place a 3-star rating. While the food was enjoyable, it doesn't really differentiate itself among other options. The Arepa La Reina was mediocre, although the green sauce, or salsa de ajo, was quite delicious.

You haven't truly experienced dining until you've tried this place! Do yourself a favor and take my advice: start with a French onion soup and a goat cheese salad. Then indulge in two double shots of espresso (one for you and one for your companion) and finish off with an IPA for a little fun. For the next course, don't miss the crepe filled with ham and Swiss cheese, along with the renowned Croque Monsieur sandwich. Enjoy your visit—it’s unforgettable! Make sure to tell your friends about it!

This place is a true hidden gem! The coffee has a wonderful aroma, the food flavors are perfectly balanced, and the service is exceptionally friendly. It’s definitely a must-visit spot in Astoria. I should note that the lighting wasn't the best; we visited on a rainy day, so it might have been darker than usual. However, the prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality you get!
