Chingri - Astoria

Beautiful Ambiance, Friendly staff. Yummiest and the best quality Thai food ever. Every few weeks my taste buds crave for Chingri. All the best. Keep up the good work.

The place is great with nice atmosphere. But the waitress that was working there, was not welcoming whatsoever. She made us wait a couple minutes when she saw us standing there without even acknowledging us. Than after she finally seated us down and gives us the menu in one hand and basically asking for the order in the other hand. I had to tell her ?can I get some time to look at the menu first?. So she gave us some time to look over the menu. And when we decided to order,The noodles of the dish we want it was not available. So we asked her can you use a different noodle. And she thought about it in her head and decided that it was too much of a bother for her to go ask the chef about it. Like I could seeher in her head the wheels turning cause she took the time to thing about it. And she was not willing to ask either when we asked her too. So we requested more time to look over the menu again and thankfully another waiter came around. Weended up requesting the same thing with him and he was able to get it done for us. Plus we requested him to be our server for the night. His service was outstanding. And he?s only reason I?m giving a three star instead of one. The appetizerwas Good specially with the sauces. But the two entrées were horrible. The noodles were super greasy and there was not much taste to it at all. The Chingri fried rice same thing and came with only two pieces of small chingri(shrimp). Theywere beef in it but it taste like it was old and super chewy.

They have some quality food and the seating area is pretty quiet. We liked their food and my kids enjoy it. I strongly recommend this restaurant. The price of their foods are little high.

The waitress was really lovely, offering us desserts on the house and discounts! Good Thai food and really great experience
