South Bay Wild Fish House - Astoria

That was one of the best fish and chips I've ever eaten. Our entire table of 5 people felt the same! Everything was light and fresh and perfectly cooked. I had fried the sole and it was spectacular, another had grilled it and loved it too. In addition, the Coleslaw and Pommes were perfect, as well as the tartaric acid sauce. No bad thing to say. Very recommended!

I had a great experience at the restaurant with friendly, quick, and efficient service. I ordered the calamari and chips, and I must say the calamari was fresh and cooked to perfection, complemented perfectly by a spicy sauce. The seating options include both indoor and outdoor areas, featuring individual tables as well as communal ones. Overall, it created a lovely ambiance.

I had a great time at this restaurant! The atmosphere was fun and casual, and the seafood was super fresh. I especially enjoyed the clam chowder, shrimp cocktails, seafood and chips, and the rockfish tacos. The tacos were my favorite—they were simply delicious! I definitely need to plan another trip to Astoria just to eat here again.

Wow! This place is exceptional! It's owned by a husband and wife team, with the husband being a fisherman who likely catches the fish for the restaurant. They are both incredibly passionate about their business and the fishing industry. My girlfriend and I visited over the weekend, and I ordered the seafood and chips while she opted for the fish tacos. The seafood and chips (Petral Sole) were incredibly flavorful, perfectly cooked, and juicy—the best I’ve ever had! The fish tacos were also fantastic and packed with flavor! I can’t wait to return for dinner every time I’m in town. I've also heard that her Clam Chowder is the best around! We tried the Calamari as well, and it was delicious!

Tuna poke was phenomenal. Fish was super high quality and fresh. Menu is a little limited, but what they make, they do well. Not a huge space, so wait times might be long if you come during busy times.
