Eating is delicious and very different from everything I have eaten so far! I will definitely come back for more!
At about 4€, the huge part of the delicious greens is quite good. no chic eating here, but a really hot and hearty street look, that on your own faust to eat or share. the personal is beautiful and the place is alive, with people who play the table and cheerfully chat around. do not go there if they expect a restaurant setting and many elaborate options, but this place will definitely give them a smile on a (not so) rainy day!
The tanuni in homemade brot was incredible and my partner had the great, which also looked delicious.
Magic kitchen is a cooperative kitchen serving incredible street food. I had never heard or eaten gozleme or tantuni and was absolutely overjoyed to have something new to try. The gozleme is a very thin bread filled with vegan cheese, mushrooms, greens or potato the portions are really big and it's super filling and super crispy! The tantuni is a sort of soy kebab cooked in spices, tomato and oil and served in bread or as a plate with salad. It was really incredible! We also had the tabbouleh as something a bit more familiar and it was definitely some of the best we've ever had. To top it off the staff were super friendly and chatty and the restaurant is in exarchia (the anarchist area of athens) so there are lots of vegan places, cool bookshops and activist spaces nearby.
