Dawg Gone Good Bbq - Athens

I was passing through Athens today on my way back to Atlanta and couldn’t resist stopping for some ribs from a place I remembered fondly. Years ago, I had ribs from there, so I called and ordered two slabs of Baby’s! They definitely did not disappoint! These ribs rank among my top five favorites! The restaurant is family-owned, and the whole family was so friendly and accommodating. Treat yourself to BBQ from this spot! Let's support this amazing family because they truly care about their customers!

By FAR, this is the BEST pulled chicken I've EVER tasted!!! The mac and cheese is something you absolutely cannot miss. If you don't stop here, you're missing out on the true essence of the South. *Plus, it's open LATE when all the other places close after the game!!!

If you're a BBQ enthusiast, this place is a must-visit! The pulled pork is infused with a rich smoky flavor that you won't even need sauce for—it might just be the best pulled pork I've ever tasted! While the beans were just average, the blackberry cobbler and banana pudding were absolutely incredible. Seriously, if you haven't tried this spot yet, you're really missing out! Enjoy!

Without a doubt, my favorite BBQ spot in Athens. The service is quick, the staff is friendly, and the food is absolutely delicious. Besides the beef brisket, I especially love the mac and cheese and the coleslaw!

The ribs are incredibly tender, and the collard greens are the best I've ever had. The mac and cheese is also delicious. This is definitely the best BBQ in Athens!
