Panera Bread - Athens

When the meals arrived, each person found that at least one component of their dish was incorrect—most commonly with the bread, which was supposed to be sourdough. And it got even worse. The order we had placed seemed outdated upon arrival. When we brought this to the staff's attention, they seemed annoyed, grabbing the wrong meal and claiming we had previously pointed it out as if it was our fault they misrecognized the correct items. The rudeness of the staff would have been easier to overlook if the meals had been satisfactory. It felt as though they were trying to stretch their ingredients due to a lack of supplies. The chicken salad was so thinly spread that it was barely detectable on the sandwich. The veggie sandwich was more like a bowl of hummus served with bread and a few snacks for dipping, lacking the robust flavors it normally has (in fact, I’ve ordered this sandwich many times before, but this was the first time I actually noticed the hummus was included). There was so much hummus that it seemed more like frosting on a pastry rather than a part of a sandwich. And it wasn't due to a lack of staff; there were at least half a dozen team members around, which seemed more than enough for the evening shift at this chain. I won’t say I’ll never return, but I certainly intend to explore other options before coming back here anytime soon.

Dining at Panera is consistently a delightful experience. Tonight, I enjoyed the roasted turkey avocado BLT, and it was so flavorful that it didn't even need any additional seasoning!

This is a fantastic spot for lunch if you're in the mood for a sandwich! I absolutely love their Turkish sandwiches and soup served in a bread bowl. However, I do miss the potato soup. If they bring back the potato soup, I will give them a full 5 stars!

Super sweet cashier named mercedes helped me out with my order. she also made sure i got my cream cheese after walking out without it lol!

It’s super rare that I give a negative review or complain. In fact, I prefer to point out the positive things, but after multiple bad experiences at this Panera Bread I’m beyond frustrated. Every single time I come here something is wrong with my order. I just spoke with the manager who didn’t seem to care or take my concerns seriously at all. Some staff is super nice and some are incredibly rude. Get it together Athens Panera!!!
