Feedback gevenTo add to the experience, when I finally reached the window, the woman serving me—who only had one tooth—spilled half a bag of ice on me and didn’t even apologize; she just said, “I’m bound.” After that, I had to wait another 15 minutes for a grilled cheese and a corn dog. This experience was absolutely ridiculous. I won’t be coming back. I would much rather go all the way through the city than go through this again. I left soaked and very disappointed.
To make matters worse, during our entire wait, the staff kept going in and out of the restaurant to smoke and chat on their phones. Is it too much to ask for them to wear something other than dingy, stained white t-shirts while working the drive-thru? Uniforms may not be crucial, but it would be nice to at least recognize who actually works there. Additionally, the car behind us seemed to know some of the staff personally, as they left their station to talk with them during our wait. This kind of behavior is simply unacceptable. The poor management of this franchise has made it so I will never return. I really hope the company sends a secret shopper here because, frankly, they need to see how bad things have become. Without question, this has been the worst food experience I've ever had. If I could give half a star, I would. Oh, and can you believe this location has been open for 60 years with service like this? I can only wonder if the original owner ever looks back and shakes their head at how terrible it has become.
I waited in my car for 20 minutes, and someone told me, "I’ll be with you in a second." Eventually, I reached the window, but after another 5 minutes, a rude employee with brown hair approached. She accused me of lying, said the previous employee I spoke with wasn’t even a staff member, and refused to check on my order. I could hear her putting me down at the drive-thru window. My 9-year-old niece witnessed this and was so upset that she suggested we eat somewhere else. I requested a refund and was told I had to do it through the app. Unfortunately, we ended up waiting another 5-7 minutes for our food. In total, I spent 45 minutes at Sonic for a burger and hot dog combo that I had ordered ahead of time, and everything I received was cold and poorly prepared.
The service here is shocking bad. it took 10 minutes to take our order on an empty drive thru. then we waited 30 minutes for a maishund, burger and cold pommes. I felt like in the containment zone. the workers went constantly in and out of the building, chatting with their friends outside, and even car behind us, who took the food / drinks and left without even approaching the drive-thru window? bad search for the franchise.
If I could give this place zero stars I would. I never got a receipt and I never got my drinks. I am beyond disappointed with your management and employees at this location! Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I will never go here or recommend that anyone go here! I initially stopped here because my 5 month old daughter was crying and I needed to feed her so we pulled into the parking spot and pressed the button and ordered my other daughter a strawberry cheesecake milkshake and my husband got his shake and I ordered a large water so I could use the water to clean out my daughters bottle so I could feed her. After waiting twenty minutes and already seeing a message on the screen that bernasia or someone was on the way and them never arriving we pressed the red button for them just to ask us to place the order and after explaining that we already had place an order twenty minutes ago and being told it would be right out...it never came.. so another 10 minutes later we pressed the button again just to be ignored and nobody would talk to us.. it just kept blinking and blinking and blinking. So I called the actual store number and when I asked for the manager she blamed it on short staff and then when I asked if we could get a refund she cussed me out, called me a b Infront of my two daughters and then told me to f off and hung up on me and when I called back to ask for a refund the second person did the exact same thing. When my husband went there to ask what the deal was she kicked him out of the store! Haven't got our money back either! Those people employed at that store should not be in the customer service industry if they can't first off do their job, second they could have calmly explained there was a shortage (even though my husband saw six people in the store just hanging out not doing anything) but to cuss me out and hang up on me twice is just unacceptable I will never be back to this store or any sonic restaurant and I will tell everyone about my experience so they don't have to endure some stranger chasing their mother out over their phone attached to their car.
