I'm glad I had a chance here. do not let them deceive that this is missing from mass they deceive, the place is recovered from the previous peculiarities. I stopped because I noticed that the police gathered there between layers, and we all know that our beamers know where the best is to eat. I look forward to tasting the menu!
I have a 10 dollar vegetarian fajitas and it came with loads of sweet and an salat. They had 2 different Habanero sauces on the table that were both good. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of food for the price.
When we went, it was almost empty, but the staff completely forgot that we were sitting after that. No one came to take our order until we got up and found someone. the food tasted good, but it seemed as if it had been skillful and microwaved instead of fresh and cooked stove/oven. also one of the bottles of the taco sauce we were given was rancid, and the floors were unclean to be the point, sticky. I hate to give a bad rating, but this place is just not as good as when it was el azteca.
All of these reviews are pretty accurate based in my experience here. The food was Pretty good but took forever considering we were the only people here at lunch time. The building was very sketchy. Also the waitress (a young hispanic female with black glasses on) was not friendly. She acted like she had no desire to be there and rarely checked in us. Our table of 4 advised her that the tea was not sweet. She said yes it is do You want something else I 'm from the south and drink sweet tea on a dailey basis but ok. The price was cheap and that was good but my over all experience was not pleasant. Need to have a more friendly staff and not sell drinks by the can...yes a can lol.
They changed management and they are awful. Sketchy at best. I have been going to this restaurant consistently with my friends for past couple years especially for their $0.99 Taco Tuesdays. Their food and service were never exceptional but it was always adequate. However, tonight was not like any other night. When I walked in, the restaurant was foggy as if there has been a fire (it continued to get worse through out the dinner). Then It took 15 minutes to be seated (with only maybe 5-6 tables of people) and another 15 minutes to receive water we asked for. Then we had to ask the waitress 3 times for our chips and salsa. Then I was told that they were out of salsa. Yes. A MEXICAN RESTAURANT WAS OUT OF SALSA. I ordered two shrimp tacos mexicanos as I always do but was told by the waitress that shrimp is not part of the 99 cents deal. It was odd since I have always ordered it for 99 cents but was actually okay with this since their normal prices are $1.79 per taco. But when I got the ticket, I was charged $5.50 for two tacos. I politely asked that they made a mistake. Then she tells me that they had increased the price which was NOT indicated on the menu. Then she goes to ask her manager and honors the price that is on the menu. At this point, there are 4-5 people in line to get checked out. I asked about the student discount, as I always do. Then the waitress goes back for another five minutes and the manager shows up. He tells me that they have never had a student discount. I am very confused since, like I have mentioned, I have been coming to this restaurant for about two years and have gotten it before. Since there were a group of people waiting, I went ahead and paid. When I got back in the car I found the coupon book with 99 cents taco deal ad on it that expires October 31st saying ALL tacos are 99 cents and to ASK FOR STUDENT DISCOUNTS. I grew pretty upset at this point and went back to go talk to the manager. After waiting another five minutes, he comes and tells me that it must be old deal. I point out that the coupon book came in the mail recently and it says that it doesn't expire till the end of the month. Then he tells me that the management has changed last month. I tell him that is none of my concern and he needs to honor what is advertised. Then he tells me that he is too busy to worry about student discounts on Tuesdays and tells me that he will take care of me next time, TOUCHES then rubs his hand on my shoulder/back and tells me to leave my number and name. why the heck would I leave my personal information? It was wildly inappropriate and uncomfortable. I tell him that it is sketchy that 1. tells people things are 99 cents (with no fine prints saying there are exclusions), 2. tells me that the price has increased when the menu doesn't say so 3. tells me that there is no such thing as student discount when there is an ad on there saying to ASK FOR IT and 4. ask for personal information and touches customers? Yep. There will not be a next time.
