Taziki's Mediterranean Cafe Athens

The atmosphere is quite basic, but the food is exceptional. The hummus here is the best in town—definitely try it with the soft pita. The salmon feast is fantastic; it's perfectly crisped on the outside and tender and moist on the inside. The lamb feast is just as impressive.

Wow, what can I say? The food here was fantastic! I was visiting from out of town and stopped by last night, December 19, on my way home, but I will definitely be back. I ordered the Lamb Gyro, which was loaded with meat and bursting with flavor. I also had a Greek salad as a side, and it was almost a meal in itself. And the hummus! It was hands down the best I've ever tasted! The little container of spicy sauce with the peppers and tomatoes took it to another level. My only complaint was that the olives in my salad still had the pits in them, which could be a problem since I almost broke a tooth. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal and am looking forward to trying more dishes when I return to town.

I absolutely love this place! Their family feast offers the best value in town. We’re a family of three, but we always order the feast for six, and we never let any leftovers go to waste!

Service was great. The potatoes are soaked in lemon juice. The taziki sauce tastes like cucumber vinaigrette. Ugh. The lamb was chewy. Won't be back.
