Oh and let's not forget them moist and ultimately Tender Loin Strips... all to just die for and not be too picky and fuss... life is wwwway to short... Y'all are absolutely FANTABULOUS!!!
My order is always right, hot, and fresh! Customer service is hit or miss. More times than not, I get someone in the drive thru that you can just tell doesn't care for their job. Line always moves pretty quickly even when there's a lot of people. This is the one I always go to and as long as my order is right, I'll deal with the not so great customer service at times.
Update: owner told me to email them about my service and they would get right back to me....well never heard from them obviously there is no care here .2 cars of family pulled in zaxbys and waited in like we just moved to this area well after waiting we pulled up and they took the order from the car in front of me , well I pulled up and they told me they were closed . So I asked really ? She said yep! I was so mad its not like we got there at closing time we had to wait for 10 minutes in line! seems the only way management responds is if you give good reviews
So this is their version of a buffalo chicken salad now!! I ordered the salad but ask that the chicken is buffalo. The girl at the window handed me 3 Tongue Torch Sauce packs and said that I could buffalo them myself because there 's an upcharge. I pulled up. This is what was brought out to me. BUFFALO SAUCE SITTING ON TOP OF MY SALAD . What a shame!!!! How pathetic is this nonsense?!
I've regretted Zaxby's for the last time. Back in the 90s I used to get in arguments in Athens because I liked Zaxby's and other people preferred Guthry's. Zach stole Guthry's business model almost exactly and did it better. So I wasn't sad when Zaxby's came out on top. A decade later I ended up managing a Zaxby's because my wife's father owned it. I enjoyed the food. It's basic, nothing special, but good comfort food and even though I worked there for years I didn't get tired of it too much. But then my father in law sold his franchise location and I moved on. Since then I have had regrets almost every time I get food there. First, I can taste the freezer burn on the chicken. When I worked there the chicken was fresh. I'm guessing that has changed. Second, the fries have 2 flavors: bland and destroyed with msg seasoning. The taste isn't bad, per se(who doesn't love tgat yummy umami) but the seasoning is never even on the fries. One bite is tasteless, the next is like the dust from a cheeto bag. Then the toast: I think they might just dip the bread all the way in the fake butter at this point. Even their ranch dressing has gone downhill. It's somehow watery and thin. They don't have original sauce anymore, but I can forgive that, it wasn't all that popular but it was my favorite. But why do their hot sauces have to be mostly sugar? It's like my wings are dipped in orange colored syrup at this point. And I don't think the Zax Sauce is as good as it used to be. I think I'm done. I'll just remember Zaxby's the way it used to be. I can't stand to watch it slowly die, so I won't be going back. 1 star for the good times gone past.
