The Quays - Athlone

They were only serving meals in the bar which was crowded and noisy, with groups using inappropriate language which staff did nothing about. Ask for a room on the river side.

The food is quite good. There was an event on in the evening for approx 600 people. The hotel was visibly understaffed, which resulted in residents having to wait for long periods for service. We were a small party of about 20 persons and had booked a section in the lounge. On arrival, we were told that we were to be seated in an overflow area. The lounge had plenty of unused space, and we were not even afforded this area. Also, with staff, to a minimum, management was parading around doing nothing to alleviate the poor service being provided. Rooms were basic for a hotel. Was not impressed, to say the least. Will not be returning there and would not recommend it based on these issues.

The rooms had no air conditioning. So it was unhuminly warm even with the windows open. Sink in the bathroom was leaking. kids running up the corridor and there was a door in the bedroom connected to the other room beside me even tough it was locked.kids next door had the tv loud

Super staff and exceptionally friendly. Rooms were clean just hotel could do with a little upgrades. But lovely experience overall

A state of the art hotel that is conveniently located in close proximity to Athlone Train Station and Athlone Town Centre. Rooms are kept in great condition. Stay on reception were incredibly helpful and pleasant. A tribute to a well-ran hotel.
