Feedback gevenWe called in here for lunch on our last day in the area. The waiter was very attentive and everything was cooked fresh and was really tasty. We always order the mixed antupasti and this was by far the best we've had while in Italy. We especially loved the homemade tobacco onions. Their pasta dishes were lovely and the lamb chops were delicious. Il Contadino is great quality fresh food at a very reasonable price in a lovely homely setting.
I could not find this venue in the restaurant section, so I am reviewing it here for its rooms as well as the restaurant. A cousin arranged for us to stay here 4 days and it turned out to be the best hotel stay for us in Italy, better than Sorrento or Rome. The spacious farmhouse style building has several rooms on the second floor up some outdoor steps for overnight guests. They are spacious but simple and offer a view of the majestic mountain. My only complaint was that the room like all of Italy is darkish as far as lighting. The restaurant was excellent. We had one meal there and hosted another for about 14 family members. The pizza is the best! We ordered appetizers for the family meal and they kept coming-plates of cheese and meats, cannelini beans, fried pumpkin with balsamic vinegar that was to die for as well as the best, crisoy oinion strings I've ever had. The service by Ivan was first rate. I spoke sufficient ITalian to be understood but owners are limited with English. That and the ighting were the only drawbacks. This place is a true gem!
We visit this restaurant every time we are in the area at least once and always bring our guests to taste the real Italy. Simple and very tasty. Good local wine. Great price.

Addressed to them recommended by a friend, I stayed here during the night on Saturday and I must say that the room I was delivered was huge. bathroom and clean room. a.c and tv, the maximum. very flexible entrance and ocita times without problems and ivans with the father are excellent hoteliers I exchanged two words with the father a very useful morning to make them. then on Sunday I decided to have lunch there. I did not taste the appetizer, battle horse, I went immediately on the first fettuccine zucchini and really good cheek, meat (if I don't remember badly veal steak) of second very good even if everyone recommend the mixed roast... but abundant! contour and coffee with bitter/liquor offered all very genuine kg and good me
