Folk Art Inman Park - Atlanta

Folk Art is my go-to spot for breakfast and brunch. On this particular Saturday, I arrived at 11 AM and found no wait at all. The staff is consistently polite and efficient. I ordered The Navigator; the concept is great, but I found the wheat bread to be too weak for the filling. I think brioche would work better. I also tried the 75 cocktail made with gin, and later sampled their take on an old fashioned. Unfortunately, the old fashioned was a bit thin and not particularly memorable, so I can't recommend it. My friend had the lobster rolls and said they were quite good. One of the things I appreciate most about this restaurant is the consistent quality of the food. Thanks to the team for the excellent service!

I ordered the Fowl Play, and the chicken was bland; the waffle was tough and flavorless, and it appeared to be overcooked. The grits were not grits at all; they tasted more like a mix of rice and corn (yes, it has corn in it). To make matters worse, our waitress kept getting our orders wrong. The beignets were decent, but they didn't taste like sweet potato as advertised. The hot chocolate was weak and not satisfying. Overall, this place did not meet the expectations set by the reviews, and I found it to be extremely overpriced.

I visited this restaurant a few weeks ago for the first time and left with mixed feelings. Overall, the food was very good, and we enjoyed everything we ordered. However, my biggest issue was finding a long, tangled hair in my hash browns, which definitely ruined my appetite. Additionally, getting the server's attention was a challenge; it shouldn't take 20-30 minutes to flag down your waiter. He seemed either absent or too focused on other tables, leaving us with little attention. The place was busy but not overly crowded. Eventually, I had my meal remade and comped, and I took it to go.

I visited with a group of eight the Friday before New Year's Eve, and although they were incredibly busy, the staff was very accommodating! The food was absolutely delicious, and I will definitely return the next time I'm in Atlanta!

I absolutely love this restaurant! It's family-owned and operated by wonderful people, and the food is simply amazing.
