My boyfriend ordered the steak and chicken combo, cooked medium well, but the first steak that arrived was dry and overcooked. The second steak was an improvement, but still well done. We ultimately decided to have it removed from our bill altogether. I tried the new salmon combo, and while the shrimp was good, the vegetables could have used some salt and pepper. The baked potato soup was tasty, though. We also ordered drinks, which were just okay. Honestly, I wish we had chosen to dine at Stoney River instead.
As 8 PM came and went, I began calling the restaurant multiple times, but no one answered; the phone just rang or sometimes hung up on me. Finally, at 8:38 PM, I received a text update stating that my order was out for delivery and would arrive between 8:53 and 9:03 PM. Given that I only live 13 minutes away from the restaurant, I was furious by the time 9:30 rolled around. I had placed my order three hours ago, and dinner was turning into a disaster—we were starving! The restaurant's hours on Google showed they were open until 10 PM, so I decided to drive there because I’d already tried calling over a dozen times with no response. Just as I was pulling off exit 29, my sister called to inform me that the food had finally arrived—at 9:38 PM. To make matters worse, the steaks were cold, the salads were warm and soggy, and I had to reheat everything in the oven. My sister’s side of soup was sadly half full. According to my receipt, printed at 7:31 PM, our food had been sitting in the bag for two hours! When I inquired about a refund, all I received was a half-hearted “Sorry, we got busy.” Here’s a thought: if you’re that overwhelmed, why not reach out to customers and offer them the option to pick up their orders? I would have gladly driven to the restaurant if it meant my food would arrive hot. The lack of communication was frustrating—nobody answered the phone for over an hour! If everyone was calling, surely there were mistakes that could’ve been addressed by management—but it seemed they didn’t want to make things right. I won’t be ordering or dining at this location again.
Overall, my experience was mostly positive, but once again, the chef's heavy use of pepper was a major issue. My steak was so spicy that it literally burned my lips, and I even found pepper in the mac and cheese. I managed to eat what I could, but we ended up taking the rest to go. This was my third visit this year, and while I genuinely want to return, I'm concerned that my food will be too spicy to enjoy. I really miss the balance of flavors, but I'm frustrated with wasting $40 to $50 each time by having to throw out food.
Horrible experience. First they don't answer their telephone. And then you come in getting quoted for a 10 minute wait when it's really triple the time. You initially will believe their quoted wait time because there are plenty of open tables. They are understaffed and won't be able to deliver any ounce of customer service.
Good place to have a Steak. We had Teil different steaks, and both were perfectly cooked! Check Out the Starters, as well. I had the crabcakes and they were great. Service today was not 100% up to scratch. Orders were taken, but especially the drinks took a while. Coffee in the end was a good ten minutes, before it was served. Never the less, good food, friendly staff and they were very friendly with our 10 month old son. Probably not the last time we were there...
