There was a sign on the door that read “mobile orders only inside,” but the door was locked. Even though we wanted to dine in on a rainy evening, we had no choice but to go through the drive-thru. They told us that their general manager required the sign to remain up, even though the dining room was open. I can't help but wonder how Chick-fil-A manages to create a more welcoming and cheerful atmosphere. They certainly do something that Taco Bell does not.
First, there are no cash registers; customers can only order through a digital kiosk. On a Saturday around midday, there were only two workers in the kitchen, and the place was nearly empty. I opted for a simple order: a bean burrito and chips with queso, skipping a drink since there was no option to request a glass of water at the kiosk. I suspect they expect customers to help themselves to a small glass. While paying with my credit card, I learned that the only way to receive a receipt is through email or SMS, which I didn’t want due to the promotional messages that often come with it. However, the most disappointing aspect was the significant drop in food quality alongside rising prices. The burrito didn’t taste as good as I remembered; it was slightly runny and smaller than before. The chips were hard and stale, providing little more than a vehicle for the mediocre queso. I know it’s Taco Bell and I don’t expect much, but this was well below even those low expectations. Additionally, the seating arrangements have changed since my last visit a few years ago, and they now seem very basic and uninviting. I understand that the company might attribute these issues to the pandemic, but other similar establishments have managed to recover better. Ordering from the kiosk felt impersonal, as it seemed like you might as well be getting your food from a machine—except that one of the kitchen workers would at least hand you a bag. However, when I requested hot sauce at the kiosk, it was missing from my bag. Instead of being included, I had to fetch it from a table nearby. The atmosphere felt dreary, and I left feeling disheartened. I don’t think I’ll be returning anytime soon. My relationship with Taco Bell has come to an end.
I live walking distance to this taco bell and will drive an extra 10+ minutes to go to another location... They're extremely rude and slow, they have signs saying to come inside for pickup orders but will yell at you if you try to come in. Their hours are inconsistent at best (they're constantly closed when it says they're open). They also make some of the worst taco bell food I've ever bad
For some reason without fail this drive thru is always a new definition of busy. I don’t understand how the drive thru is so slow and that’s all you have. You aren’t allowing people inside. Seems like that would make it that much faster but it doesn’t work like that I guess. Be sure to bring your patience when going to this location. Oh and be sure to check your order before you pull off…
