Wrong wing flavor brought to table first, then took 30 more minutes for the right ones to come. This was our appetizer. So many open tables. One cook. Worried about how long it's going to take for our salads and avocado toast.
If there was a rating below 1 star, Family Dog deserves it. We sat at the bar for 15 minutes on a Friday at 7:30 and we weren’t even acknowledged. The bar wasn’t even half full! The bartender was stacking glasses, chatting with co-workers, and doing other side work. She was completely uninterested in her 6 or 7 guests seated at the bar. We got up and left, which we have never done in our lives. Having worked in the service industry for years, I will always give front and back of house staff the benefit of the doubt, but taking a drink order is imperative and one of the more simpler tasks of a bartender. Unfortunately this place has steadily gone downhill over the past year or two. It gets by on its location and co-branding that uses one of America’s most beloved treasures, the Grateful Dead, to its advantage. Jerry Garcia would not approve. Even Bobby Weir would be pissed. The staff cannot be bothered to do the job they are there to do. With the exception of Byron, he’s the man.
We love Family Dog! Especially on trivia night. Tori is fantastic! She’s always friendly, sweet, and attentive. Best waitress by far!
The food is great here, the drink I got was the gardener and it was phenomenal! Savannah was the best bartender and I will definitely be back for live music on Friday!! Great job!!
Came into town from Indianapolis for the weekend and stumbled upon The Family Dog! Great atmosphere! Duffy was amazing!! He welcomed me with open arms and provided a 10/10 experience. I would definitely recommend The Family Dog to anyone that comes to Atlanta!
