Feedback gevenI visited the Tabernacle several years ago to see Ludacris and didn’t have any major complaints. The venue is architecturally interesting and has good acoustics for concerts. However, my recent trip for a live podcast, Small Town Murder, was a different story. The ceiling was leaking, and the sound quality was quite poor. The main floor was overcrowded, making it uncomfortable, while the balcony seating—where we were located—had barely enough legroom for a child. There’s no elevator, so be prepared to navigate several staircases, which can be challenging for older guests or if you're wearing heels. Ladies, make sure to wear comfortable shoes!
As for the show itself, it was fantastic! Desi Banks delivered an outstanding performance that had me laughing from beginning to end. If you haven't had the chance to see him, I highly recommend it — definitely worth the time and money! The only downside of The Tabernacle is the exit process. You have to go down an outside staircase while everyone from various floors is leaving too, which can lead to some congestion. So again, ladies, consider wearing sneakers or comfortable shoes because those stairs can be tough! The best seats in the venue are on the floor and the balcony.
There are about eight parking spots available right in front of the venue, but they are typically in high demand and can only be used for up to four hours. The nearby paid parking lots can be quite pricey, so if you arrive early, it’s worth checking the front spots first before looking for a parking lot.
One of my favorite venues in Atlanta, and have been to many shows here.Staff is helpful, parking is readily available less than a block away or around the venue, and the place gets ROCKIN' if you see the right bands. The sloped floor is great because even a short-stack like me can get a good enough view almost anywhere inside. (Get a front-row spot for an unforgettable view if you can)
The Tabernacle is an absolute must visit venue. From the moment you step inside, you'll be blown away by its breathtaking beauty and rich history. The venue's stunning architecture, blending classic and contemporary elements, sets the stage for an incredible experience. The sound quality is absolutely top-notch, making every concert or performance truly immersive. The staff is warm, welcoming, and goes above and beyond to ensure your visit is seamless and enjoyable. With its fantastic sightlines and intimate atmosphere, you'll feel connected to the artists and fully engaged in the show. Don't miss the chance to experience the Tabernacle Event Center—it's a true Atlanta treasure!
