Thai tea was amazing, food was great. They had chicken liver on a stick.... That is worth trying out. I personally ordered the chicken laab as an appetizer. I was really impressed of the adaptable(at home we make it a lot spicier and fishier). Entree was the chicken with sticky rice. Amazing.Texture, cut, and of course balling the sticky rice in hand then adding that chicken to it! Yes, IDGAF about proper table manners, I ate it with my bare hands ??. Now to mention the decor is beautiful, the bathroom was clean andstocked. I didn't get to try the alcoholic beverages.
If I could give 4.5 stars I would. The only thing lacking was a prompt receiving of the reservation. The process in seating someone who is 10 mins early to their reservation would have been great, not seating us 15 mins after our RSVP. Food quality: 5 Customer service: 3.5 Food service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 While we were waiting I got thirsty so my friend went to the bar for a water and was ignored for 5 mins. So we just waited for our table drink less and parched. Thankfully ourserver came by with water in hand. Otherwise the our dishes food were perfectly cooked. I ordered the the beef green curry and my friend ordered the whole fried red snapper. We ordered the fried calamari which was fried to perfection andlightly breaded and the lime like sauce was light and complemented it. There was also the Thai Samosas which were slightly over cooked but flavorful and good bite size appetizers for which we were grateful for after a 20 min. wait. Therewas a slight delay in the fish entree but other than that our server was great at checking in and providing the info on the timing of our food. Presentation of the dishes was visually pleasing. My green curry had a slight spicy zing to itwhich was delicious in combination with the milky taste and texture of the sauce. Beef was cooked medium so it was tender. His fried snapper was also delicious and flakey. Would come back but be aware your reservation may just be a placeholder.
First time at Tuk Tuk, heard from a friend about this place and thought to give it a try for dinner on Saturday night. The ambience, entrance is pretty good and western. Being vegetarian/vegan did not find much exciting options. We ordered papaya salad, Thai samosas , fried tofu as starters with some ????. The Thai samosas were nice and crispy. The fried tofu was OK. For the main dishes we had Veg Pad Thai with no egg, fried rice and Thai yellow curry. The pad Thai noodleswere good but sadly the portions are way to less. It won't have been better if they served generous portions to share. For dessert we had Jasmine tea and gluten free chocolate cake. The tea and the cake were delicious. I think the dessertswere the best overall. If they add more vegetarian/vegan options, would definitely come to try that out.
One of my favorite restaurants! The food is always top notch.
Great overall experience. Food, prices and atmosphere was awesome for a date night. Definitely going back again!
