Cantina Louie - Atlantic Beach

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The atmosphere was delightful, and the food was the best I’ve had in Jacksonville. The staff was fantastic; our waiter was incredibly attentive, always ensuring our drinks were fresh. You can't beat the portion sizes for the prices! It was also a pleasure to chat with Mr. Sal. Keep up the excellent work and continue with the Facebook advertising—I’m so glad I found you! Highly recommended!

The food here is delicious, and the service is consistently excellent. However, for the first time today, I ordered the grouper tacos, and I’m almost certain that the fish served was tilapia rather than grouper. Having fished for nearly 40 years, cleaning and enjoying grouper, I can confidently say that this fish did not resemble any grouper I’ve encountered. It was very thin and displayed the distinctive stripes typical of tilapia. Grouper doesn’t look like that. When I inquired with the waitress about the grouper, she was unable to provide an answer. It’s disappointing that, despite the fantastic fishing in our region, the grouper wasn’t local and didn’t seem like it was truly grouper at all. The tacos were flavorful and well-seasoned, but for personal health reasons, I avoid eating tilapia. I sincerely hope I’m mistaken about this. I will definitely return, but I won’t be ordering the grouper again. I understand that many restaurants engage in this practice, but it doesn’t make it any less disappointing.

The food and service were outstanding! I will definitely return and highly recommend this restaurant as a superb choice for Mexican cuisine!

That was our third visit to Cantina Louie. The food is fantastic and you get generous portions. And the service is great. I also love the grilled pineapple margarita. Delicious. We think your salsa is the best in town. The prices are very fair. We recommend this place to all.

The staff is very efficient and friendly!! Great menu have always enjoyed whatever is ordered!! Would recommend Cantina Louie's to everyone!
