Los Amigos - Atlantic City

Amazing food, drinks and entertaining atmosphere. sad that they are closed; hopefully they will open again. atlantic city booklet!

So while on a brief vacation in Atlantic City, a place I visited often as a child, living in nearby Philadelphia, I checked with Happy Cow for a place to eat. Was I delightfully surprised to find Los Amigos, a small Mexican restaurant, close by many of the casinos. They had several different vegan options, and about 3 or 4 vegan appetizers.

Incredible vegan food. Perfect place to eat for mixed vegan families/couples as they have a non vegan menu as well, and it appears as a regular old Mexican place (far from it! Tell your server your vegan, almost every time I’ve been the chef is thrilled and will have something off the menu to try! Amazing improvements since first opening, huge vegan menu now with tons of options and all so so delicious. Not to mention the free chips and salsa and drinks and also awesome! Comes off as a hole in the wall Atlantic City restaurant but I promise it’s worth the visit.

Food was delicious but didn 't have the Spanish/Mexican taste. Ordered the ROASTED SWEET POTATO BURRITO (flavor and ingredients were great but was more of an American fusion dish rather than Mexican) and SPICY VEGAN BANH MI BURRITO (oredered without jalapenos and it was still spicy, very good. Only 2 pieces of mushroom though, didnt have that Mexican flare either). Chips and salsa were a plus as it IS a mexican restaurant, however, the salsa looked like and tasted like bottled spaghetti sauce (no bueno).

A great restaurant with awesome options! The potato chorizo flautas were super delicious!
