Amato's Xpress - Auburn

EDIT #2: I used to get great Italian subs here, but unfortunately, the last 5-6 I've had were like opening a soup—DISGUSTING! Who wants to eat an Italian sub that falls apart because the rolls are so wet? I'm taking my business elsewhere until things improve. It's such a shame to see this waste. Management at Amatos, please get it together! I used to rave about these subs; I visit other locations in Lewiston frequently for an Italian, and while they can be a bit messy and the bread sometimes soggy, I never had a bad experience at this location… until recently. It's been awful! Now, I only buy them when I go to the Lisbon store, where Cindy makes them. I'm not sure what has changed, but they have been so soaked that they are practically inedible.

This is simply under the average gas station food. I really didn't expect much and it still fell under my expectations Ordered takeout during the stay at the hotel within walking distance. The menu that linked to their website on Google had sandwiches prices between $4-7 per piece, just a lie. With these prices and assuming that the sandwiches would not be big, I ordered 2 small items, both at about $5 on the website menu. When I went in, I was immediately greeted with regret that we did not take hot food orders anymore, without saying that I had previously ordered over the phone. The actual sandwiches were served on generic grocery hot dog rolls. I ordered a steak and cheese as well as a double Italian with exactly 3 slices of tasteless ham, the blows on this Italian sandwich made it so easy that I could not even hold it without the bread falling apart completely. The steak and the cheese was simply loosely ground beef together with so much cheese kept it was quite a grilled cheese with scattered pieces of burgers on it. Both sandwiches were about $9 and I paid almost $20 for them after tax. Incredibly bad sandwiches and not a very friendly staff. If you wouldn't come back, go to the crossroad market or Aroma Joe's on the street.

Staff of the Rudest I have ever met. Pizza was not asked to bake it longer, it was said that when ordering in the future. I have to sit and listen to the staff, complain that I didn't say well. I didn't want to make it really good. I can't imagine ever coming back here.

Thanks ladies for the right pizza!! I was nowhere else in the Lewiston Auburn area where, if you post and pay for 2 toppings, you get 2 toppings throughout the entire pizza. This is the way to make a pizza!

Delicious ? hot pizza Very fresh and very friendly workers. I will definitely eat here again
