Mac's Downeast Seafood - Auburn

It's a little spendy, but worth it in every bite. The girls working were exceptionally friendly.

Great service on a very hot day. Ate outside in the shade. Nice spot. Had fried clams that were very gritty and bland. My wife had the scallop roll which she said was good but also bland. Hadn't had seafood in awhile so it was pleasant but a bit disappointing.

They have the best seafood chowder in all Maine. I tried about 7 or 8 other spots, including Portland Maine, but did not find another seafood chowder as good as this one. I will be back to visit for sure.

The cook was not focused on her job, she was too busy talking. My seafood was undercooked. The roll was twisted into a to go box. I'm highly disappointed. I used to enjoy this place.
