Shrimp Basket - Auburn

Boil was all water. Seasoning was a joke. Would not let us omit the sausage, so the whole boil just tasted like conecuh. Shrimp were too small and not properly deveined. Potatoes were undercooked. Giant chunks missing from the corn. Fried food was so greasy it was soggy. Drinks were weak and unpleasant. Service was fine. I have never left a review on a restaurant before, but this was incredibly unsatisfactory. Usually, I’m not one to complain.Update: 2 hours later and I’ve actually gotten sick.

They served us crab claws that were starting to rot and tasted and smelled like ammonia. Then they admitted it was old and got us a fresh batch. They didn’t comp us the meal but could have at least comped us the crab claws. The coleslaw tasted fermented. The rest of the food was just okay. This place used to be really good.

Eh.Nothing impressive about my experience here. The meal was just ok. The boiled shrimp were quarter size. I feel like most of the meat came from the several sausage links that came with it. I ordered the garlic butter flavor and it was just like semi salty oil bath, not butter. I could drive past this place and not miss anything.

I got a chicken poboy. I was a little disappointed. It was a nice size, but it was bland as hell. The chicken looked seasoned, but it definitely was not.
