Really enjoyed a nice good meal here. The ribs were very tender and tasty. The burger with mushroom sauce has a nice rich taste to it. The wings were nice and juicy as well.<br/ <br/ One small let down for me is that you get a large amount of chips with no dressing. You have to pay extra for tomato or aioli dip which is a bit disappointing. I purchased two aioli containers and one tomato sauce container, and it was $2.50 extra, which is a bit steep in my opinion.<br/ <br/ They also sell peppermint crisp tart which is a really nice South African dessert. For $3.00 a tub, it's definitely worth the price if you have any room after eating your mains.<br/ <br/ Despite the whole sauce shenanigans, the food is still good and it was really satisfying.
Just like the other branch, very good especially after a very long day of climbing Rangitoto. Introduced a mate to Rack n Roll and he pretty much cleaned his plate up.
Rack n roll ribs is pretty much always consistantly good quality. Sometimes the chips or onion rings can be a little on the soft side. But otherwise they are always full of flavour. Ribs are yummy and sticky. Have had their wings can be hit and miss first time delish and second time was not as great. Will always go back
This place doesn’t look like much, the marketing budget must be low. But oh boy..... they don’t skimp where it counts! I first tried the chicken on chips. INSANELY tasty chicken, I’ve tried all flavours and they’re all good (though the honey mustard doesn’t have enough sauce to soak into the chips like the other flavours do). The ribs (both pork and beef) have a primo reputation in the area, but I’m most fond of their burgers. A burger artist has designed these bad boys. They haven’t just bought the cheapest buns they could to make more money, they are exceptional, they’re big, and the patties are the bomb. Pay for extra basting on the meat pattie, it takes it to next level. Have never been disappointed by this place. It’s not cheap, but IMO it’s worth it.
